Porsche Prom 2026: A Night To Remember at The Westin Carlsbad

On the evening of January 11, 2026, the Porsche Club of America-San Diego Region (PCA-SDR) members gathered in style for one of the most anticipated social events of the year: the Installation Dinner, affectionately dubbed the “Porsche Prom.” Held at the elegant Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa, the night was a spectacular celebration of community, camaraderie, and the shared passion for all things Porsche.

From the moment guests arrived on the sweeping terrace overlooking the Pacific, there was a buzz of excitement in the air. Members were treated to a complimentary cocktail reception, providing a relaxed opportunity to reconnect with old friends and meet new faces before the evening’s formal festivities began. The ballroom, beautifully set for dinner, reflected the festive spirit of the club—a perfect blend of classy and fun.

But this night was about more than just a beautiful setting and great food—it was about honoring the people who make PCA-SDR thrive.

Celebrating Our Enthusiasts and Leaders

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of outstanding members for their contributions to the club. Mike and Megan Jennings were named Enthusiasts of the Year, celebrated for their energy and involvement that touched nearly every corner of club life. Their dedication exemplifies the spirit of PCA-SDR—welcoming, passionate, and always ready to make the next event unforgettable.

In addition to the Jennings’ honor, PCA-SDR took a moment to recognize the efforts of all Committee Chairs whose leadership keeps the club’s diverse calendar of events running smoothly. Each chair brings their own flavor to the club’s offerings—from tech sessions and tours to autocross and social outings—and the Installation Dinner was the perfect place to salute their commitment.

Particularly heartfelt was the tribute to Mark Curran, outgoing Chair of Driver’s Education and Time Trial (DE/TT). Mark’s steady hand and tireless work behind the scenes ensured unforgettable track experiences for SDR members throughout his tenure. His contributions will long be appreciated, not just for the events he organized, but for the community spirit he helped cultivate.

A Formal Handoff: Goodbye 2025 Board, Hello 2026

One of the central traditions of the Installation Dinner is the ceremonial transition between boards. This year’s event marked the farewell to the 2025 Board of Directors and the warm welcome for the 2026 leadership team. The handoff symbolizes the continuity and vitality of PCA-SDR — where enthusiastic volunteers step forward to guide the club’s future. The full roster of board members and officers, available on pcasdr.org, reflects a strong mix of returning leaders and fresh faces ready to bring new ideas to life.

Amid applause and cheers, the evening bridged one chapter of PCA-SDR’s story with the next—a testament to the dedication of our volunteers and the enduring strength of our community.

Dinner, Dancing, and Memories

After the formalities, the celebration kicked into high gear. A delectable dinner featuring thoughtfully prepared courses set the tone for an evening filled with laughter and conversation. With plates cleared, the dance floor opened to the sounds of Mojo Strut, whose lively set kept members moving well into the night. From classic tunes to crowd favorites, the music turned the ballroom into a joyful scene for everyone.

The Installation Dinner has long been one of PCA-SDR’s signature social events, blending tradition with heartfelt celebration. In the pages of the Windblown Witness, this night will be remembered not just for the awards and announcements, but for the laughter shared across tables, the friendships renewed, and the collective pride of belonging to a club that feels more like family with every passing year.

As one member aptly put it: “This isn’t just a club—it’s a community that celebrates every road ahead and every Porsche that brings us together.”
