2007 Porsche Design Technical and Historical Quiz

Porsche Design Tech. Quiz Results Click Here

Updated: 6-19-07

Overview:
The Tech Quiz has a new name, a new sponsor, and a new format for 2007. It is now “The Porsche Design Technical and Historical Quiz.” We are excited to announce that the quiz is sponsored by Porsche Design. The Technical and Historical Quiz will consist of fifty questions: thirty-five general technical and historical questions, and fifteen model specific questions. There will also be fifteen tie-breaker questions. The new format is intended to stimulate interest in Porsche historical information as well as technical issues regarding all model years of the Porsche automobile. This change in format is also intended to attract more participants.

If you are planning on attending the San Diego Porsche Parade this coming July, you might begin your preparations by reading your owner’s manual, those back issues of PCA’s excellent magazine, Porsche Panorama, copies of Up-fixin’ der Porsche as well as books on the particular model Porsche you are most interested in.

A particularly valuable resource for the quiz this coming year will be the three-volume book set - Porsche, Excellence Was Expected by Karl Ludvigsen. Of course you will want to peruse the Porsche Design web site at www.porsche-design.com as well. There will also be questions about the history and operations of the Porsche Club of America.

Those of us on the Porsche Design Technical and Historical Quiz Committee look forward to seeing you at the 2007 Porsche Parade in San Diego.

Where and When:  The quiz will be given on Thursday, July 5th in the Town & Country and the San Diego Rooms of the Town and Country Hotel.

Time allowed:  The Technical and Historical quiz will start at 8:30 AM. Participants will have one hour to complete the quiz.
