San Diego Region won the Ferry Porsche Trophy
for Region of the Year - 2006.
Bob McLaughlin of San Diego also won Lazar-Blanchard Memorial Trophy for PCA Enthusiast of the Year - 2006.

Dear PCA friends and Porsche enthusiasts:
Thank you everyone for your involvement with the 52nd Porsche Parade, and
helping make it a big success. This was a Parade that none of us will ever
forget.
We had well over 2000 attending, and we appreciate your support of the 2007
Parade. We realize it takes a lot of personal commitment to plan for the
trip, and we trust it was worth it. The enthusiasm from all the Parade-goers
was contagious, from the first-timers as well as the Parade veterans.
Many of you volunteered as well, and a Parade cannot succeed without the
hundreds of volunteer workers from the entrant pool. Even better was that
you were delightful to work with, and put some of yourselves into this grand
event, making it all the more special.
A number of sponsors supported the Parade, and for that we are truly
grateful. Besides that, they offer many great products and services to the
Porsche owner and enthusiast. This sort of partnership makes the entire
Parade a world-class event - one we all can feel proud to be associated with.
The Town & Country Resort turned out to be much more than an island of
beautiful gardens for Parade attendees. The hotel staff went all-out to
provide everyone with a great vacation and Parade experience. From every
angle, they were enthusiastic partners to help make the Parade a superb
success. If you need a recommendation for a place to stay in San Diego, look
no further.
The PCA Executive Council and National Parade staff were valuable resources
at all times. We received nothing but support, encouragement, and guidance
throughout the planning process and Parade week. We are very appreciative of
their time, motivation, and assistance.
Finally, we can't say enough positive things about our wonderful Parade
staff. They have given countless hours of their free time over the last year
or so, planning, working together, refining the details, and committing
themselves to the Parade. All this, so you and your families could have the
best Parade experience possible. Beyond that, these people were just great
to work with. The teamwork and camaraderie were exemplary, and made the
entire process a true joy. All the terrific venues, events, and many
wonderful experiences of the Parade are due to the efforts of these talented
and dedicated individuals. Please join us in giving them a huge thank-you
for all they have done.
Again, our thanks to all of you for being a part of the greatest Porsche
Club of America party in history!
