Wine Blending and Gourmet Picnic (Bernardo Winery)

Join us at the Bernardo Winery on November 11, 2017 for an afternoon fit to satisfy any wine aficionado!  We will meet in the Tasting Room @ 12:00pm  and enjoy a 25 minute guided walking tour of the grounds conducted by a Bernardo Winery Wine Steward which includes some wine tasting knowledge and a family history of the owners and operators of San Diego’s Best Winery. While on the tour, we will enjoy a private wine tasting of 5 wines. Learn how Southern California was the winemaking region for many years in Old California, and see how wine was made and sold over 100 years ago at this very winery.

We will then move to the Barrel Room at the Winery to sit with fellow Porsche Club wine enthusiasts and enjoy a Gourmet Picnic @ 12:30pm.  The picnic includes a build your own sandwich platter with turkey breast, genoa salami, prosciutto, sliced cheddar, provolone and pepper jack, dinner rolls and assorted condiments.  Also included is a V’s House Salad with roasted almonds, parmesan cheese, red onion, mixed greens and house made roasted tomato vinaigrette. Kettle chips, assorted desserts, and infused water are also included.

After we eat together, we will partake in a FUN Wine Blending event @ 2:00pm The Wine Blending is a fun and interactive wine event where guests are split into groups and together blend 3 Bernardo Wines into their very own unique personal varietal. Guests will be supplied with measuring supplies, a funnel, corks, blank wine labels in which to design their very own brands, and an informative factsheet about blending a Meritage. A team of Bernardo Winery Wine Stewards with distinguished palates will taste, grade, and determine a winner. The winning group will receive a special Bernardo Winery wine-related gift.

The cost of the tour, 5 tastings, lunch, and the wine blending event is $105 per person.  Space is limited so act now!  Register at msreg.com/wineblendingbrunch to claim your spot.
